My name is Mindi Lacy. I am from NWKS, but now live in SWKS. I have a very awesome family that I just adore! Without my family, my dreams would never come true. My dreams began clear back in Jr. High School. My art teacher, Mr. Peck, taught me how to use a 35mm Pentax film camera and dark room. I have dreamed of photographing for National Geographic since high school. It wasn't until 2017 (27 years old) that my husband surprised me with a Sony a6000 to help me achieve those goals. I established my business in 2018 but still needed to learn more. In 2019, I met my mentor, Rex Rosenberg. He has taught me the in's and outs of photography, and is still continuing to teach me.
Through my journey, I have discovered that I really enjoy photographing senior high school students, new born's and children. I love incorperating make believe into my photography. In 2019, I had some photo's of an antique combine published in an antique farm equipment magazine, Heritage Iron. In 2021, 14 of my images were selected to hang in a gallery called Frameography in Hutchinson, KS. They hung in the gallery for a month while I was the featured Artist of the Month. I am also a proud member of the PPA (Professional Photographer's Association) in 2021.
You never know when you will lose someone, and when you do, a photo is all that's left to remember them by. This job is incredibly important to me!
